The 20,550-cbm Navigator Aries (built 2008) was involved in an accident with the 2,450-teu Leo Perdana (built 2007) on Sunday, a spokesperson from owner Navigator Gas said.
A fire started as a result of the collision but was quickly extinguished.
Cooling works are currently being conducted on the Navigator Gas-owned ship.
The tanker was hit in the middle and suffered damage which is currently being assessed.
