The Norwegian navy frigate damaged in a collision with a tanker on Thursday has sunk.
Only a small part of the KNM Helge Ingstad was still visible above the water on Tuesday in the Hjeltefjorden region, the navy said.
The National Post cited rear admiral Nils Andreas Stensoenes as saying several of the wires used to stabilise the vessel snapped.
