A Hartmann Schiffahrts-owned ship has reportedly been damaged after running aground off Finland over night.
A quantity of oil was also reported to have leaked from the 7,750-dwt Nordland (built 2002) following the incident in the Turku archipelago at around midnight. However, TradeWinds understands that the leak may be of ballast water and not fuel oil.
The bow of the Netherlands-flagged multi-purpose vessel has been breached but there is not believed to be any significant water ingress, Finnish news station YLE reported on its website.
