The investigation into the fatal lifeboat fall on the world’s biggest cruiseship appears to have ruled out equipment failure.
Marseille prosecutor Xavier Tarabeux was cited in Le Figaro as saying enquiries are continuing into whether human error was to blame for the accident on Royal Caribbean’s (RCCL) 227,000-gt Harmony of the Seas (built 2016).
Initial findings did not identify problems with the hardware, the report said.
