The car carrier Glovis Spring (built 2016), which grounded off Paracel Islands in Southern China, has been refloated and is awaiting final permission to sail to a repair yard.
The 7,409 car capacity vessel grounded last week and a Lloyd’s Open Form (LOF) contract was signed with Ardent Global Marine Services and Chinese salvage company Guangzhou Salvage.
The vessel was refloated within days and has since been undergoing safety inspections by classification society the Korean Register.
