A “partial blockage of fuel lines” was to blame for the stalling of an OSG tanker in the US this week.

The 69,000-dwt Overseas Cleliamar will not be allowed to leave San Francisco Bay until it has passed thorough safety checks, the US Coast Guard (USCG) said.

The incident happened close to the Golden Gate Bridge.

The 1993-built vessel had a pilot aboard and was being accompanied by an escort tug when the power failed just outside the Golden Gate on Wednesday.
