Brazilian prosecutors have filed a manslaughter charge against a chief engineer on an ER Schiffahrt containership over the death of two Filipino crewmen on the vessel.
Anton Shcherbak is accused of causing the death of Krisler Lopez Yu, 31, and Jerryme Tabunan Gunday, 42, while they were on the 1,728–teu Adrian (built 1997) in June 2013.
The Federal Public Ministry (MPF)'s office in the northeastern state of Amapa said the death was not intentional.
