According to the agency’slatest port detention report the 76,500-dwtLady Maria Luisa (built 2007) washeld in Baltimore, Maryland for violating Annex VI of the International Convention for the Preventionof Pollution from Ships (Marpol).

“The vessel wasoperating in the North America Emission Control Area (ECA) utilizing fuel oilthat does not comply with the MARPOL Annex VI ECA sulfur limits,” the USCGwrote in reference to the findings of an investigation led by port statecontrol officers.
