Ecochlor, a maker of ballast water treatment systems, says it named Steve Candito as the company's new chief executive.
Candito will replace Charlie Miller, who has been at the helm of the Maynard, Massachusetts-based company since 2003.
Miller's background was chiefly in engineering. Candito, though, brings more maritime experience to the organisation as it awaits type approval from the US Coast Guard for its ballast treatment gear.
