The US Coast Guard (USCG) has coordinated the tow of a disabled bulker 100 miles off New York.
The USCG said the 56,000-dwt GDF Suez North Sea (built 2012) lost power in the Atlantic on 21 August.
The Santoku Shipping vessel has 21 crew on board.
They attempted to repair the engines, but failed, leading the USCG to start a salvage operation last Thursday.
