Tugs appear to be standing by Doun Kisen Kaisha’s 78,000-dwt bulk carrier Ikan Kerapu (built 2015), whose voyage from Riga in Latvia to Taranto in Italy came to an abrupt halt on Sunday morning when it grounded in the Irbe Strait in the Gulf of Riga.
Ship tracking website Marine Traffic indicates that two small tugboats are stationed off the Ikan Kerapu, which is operated by Singapore-based Pacific Carriers.
