Italian prosecutors have released a tape of a port official repeatedly asking the captain of the stricken Costa Concordia to get back on board his ship after it grounded.
Over nearly four minutes, the rescue coordinator tries to persuade Francesco Schettino to climb up a ladder to assess the situation on the listing 114,000-gt cruiseship (built 2006), which was holed on rocks off Giglio on Friday night.
The official says: “Listen, Schettino, you have saved yourself but I will make sure you will be in serious trouble.
