Shipping at Australia’s Port of Dampier have been advised to batten down the hatches in advance of the potential arrival of a cyclone.
Authorities are said to be monitoring the progress of a tropical low which is currently located over the Timor Sea, reports agency company GAC.
According to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology’s latest forecast, it is likely to move in west south westerly direction and is expected to reach category 2 tropical cyclone.
