The incident occurred on Thursday when the 27-year-old caughthis foot in a line aboard the Miss Aubrey Ann five miles off Louisiana.
A Coast Guard helicopter flew to the rescue when the captainof the vessel contacted the Houston-Galveston division around 4 pm.
The man was taken to the Lake Charles Memorial Hospitalin a stable condition.
