A seafarer has been killed by an exploding gas cylinder on a Princess cruiseship in New Zealand.
The New Zealand Herald reported that the 114,000-gt Emerald Princess (built 2007) was docked at Port Chalmers at the time of the accident on Thursday.
Maritime New Zealand is to board the ship on Friday to carry out an investigation.
The captain of the ship spoke to passengers via the intercom and informed them a crew member had died.
