The crew of a German cargoship that suffered a spill of radioactive material in its hold off Canada are said to be safe and unconcerned by the incident.
The 7,900–dwt Hartmann-operated MCP Altona (built 2007) turned back to British Columbia after bad weather caused at least two drums of uranium powder to become damaged.
