The Sri Lankan navy has taken 11 seafarers from a listing cargoship off Colombo.
The Adaderana website said the 2,400-dwt Mutha Pioneer (built 1984) became distressed 11.6 nautical miles from shore.
The men were picked up by a fast attack craft, the navy said.
The vessel had begun listing to port.
The crew consisted of 10 Sri Lankans and an Indonesian.
