A Carnival cruiseship newbuilding due for delivery in October 2019 has escaped series damage during a fire at Meyer Turku in Finland.
The German-owned yard said a fire broke out on deck 15 of the 183,900-gt Costa Smeralda on Monday, caused by welding work inside the ship.
