A CGM CGM-chartered containership has been refloated after an incident at Cape Town, South Africa.
Port authority Transnet and maritime safety organisation SAMSA combined to free the 8,530-teu CMA CGM Samson (built 2011), owned by Danaos, after it had struck a breakwater on entering the port at low tide on Tuesday, the IOL website reported.
Three tugs were brought in to assist the operation.
