A Chinese icebreaking research ship has crashed into an iceberg in Antarctica.
ABC reported that the 8,800-dwt Xue Long (built 1993) broke its mast as 250 tonnes of ice fell on the vessel.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
The ship was travelling at three knots in the Amundsen Sea at the time, according to China's ministry of natural resources.
