A Celebrity Cruises vessel struck a pier in Alaska and returned to Vancouver for repairs.
The US Coast Guard said it was investigating after the 2,030-berth Celebrity Infinity (built 2001) was involved in the casualty at the Ketchikan cruiseship dock on Friday.
There were no injuries or pollution, and the ship only suffered minor damage.
The incident took place while a local pilot was on the vessel and while winds were gusting at 72 kph.
