A cargo insurer for carmaker Daimler has filed an EUR 29.6m ($33.1m) lawsuit over the fire that struck an American Roll-On, Roll-Off Carriers (ARC) vessel a year ago.
The lawsuit by Germany's HDI Global is the second to blame the blaze that struck the 5,910-ceu car carrier Courage (built 1991) on a defect on a vehicle shipped by rival Ford Motor Company.
