The Canadian Coast Guard is seeking damages from the owner of the cruiseship Clipper Adventurer following a grounding rescue operation in 2010.
The lawsuit, through the federal government, claims nearly CAD 500,000 ($491,000) from Adventurer Owner of Miami.
The government was itself sued for at least $15m in 2011 by the company, which claimed it was not alerted to the dangers of an uncharted rock shelf.
