Bimco has appointed Philip Tinsley as its new head of maritime security.
Tinsley will replace Giles Noakes, who suddenly passed away last month.
Bimco’s new maritime security chief spent 31 years with the Royal Marine Commandos, an elite specialist unit of the British Royal Navy, where he reached the rank of Major.
Tinsley joined Bimco in 2015 after coordinating anti-piracy transit operations for a private maritime security company (PMSC) in Dubai.
