Two barges involved in Friday's collision with a tanker have been removed from the Houston Ship Channel, according to authorities.
The VLGC Genesis River (built 2018) collided with Kirby-owned tug Voyager while it was towing two Kirby barges, identified as 30015T and MM1 3041.
The Port of Houston-Galveston's captain has fully opened the channel without restrictions and vessel traffic has returned to normal, officials said.
