On Monday MAST joined the growing list of firms that are warning clients to be vigilant in the wake of reports that Al-Qaeda is urging followers to take aim at tankers bound for the West.
In an alert it reminded operators that vessels transiting the Straits of Gibraltar, Straits of Hormuz, Suez Canal and Bab El Mendeb Strait are seen as particularly attractive terrorist targets.
