Indonesian authorities were still seeking 17 people missing after a cargoship sank off Banggai Laut on Tuesday.
One person was rescued from the vessel, named as KM Lintas Timur, according to the Sumsel Update website.
The ministry of transportation has deployed patrol boats in the area.
The vessel was on its way from Bitung in North Sulawesi to Morowali in Central Sulawesi at the time of the incident.
