The Singapore government has agreed to continue to cover the costs of Covid-19 rostered routine testing (RRT) for the marine sector for another six months.
Previously, it said it would bear the costs of RRT until 31 March, but this has now been extended to 30 September as the virus “continues to pose significant public health risks”.
Singapore has been conducting RRT of workers in various sectors that have a higher risk of exposure to the coronavirus or with larger negative impact if they were to have a Covid-19 infection in their midst.
