Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps navy has unveiled what it claims to be the country’s deadliest warship.
This has prompted Italian parliamentarians to launch an investigation into why it so closely resembles an Italian ro-ro sold to Marshall Islands interests in 2019.
Features claimed for the “new” 150-metre IRIS Shahid Roudaki include an ability to carry helicopters, drones, fast-attack missile boats and a range of anti-aircraft and anti-ship missile systems.
