An International Maritime Organization meeting has agreed a package of short-term measures to curb greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that will now go forward to governments for final approval.
The GHG agreement was made at the IMO’s Intersessional Working Group on Reduction of GHG Emissions. That came ahead of an all-important Marine Environment Protection Committee meeting in November, where the measures could be mandated.
