A group of the world’s biggest and most influential shipowners have expressed “grave concern” at the direction of talks at the International Maritime Organization in London this week aimed at driving the decarbonisation of shipping by 2050.
Six of the largest Greek owners, led by the Angelicoussis Group, warned that current proposals may result in backing niche low-carbon fuel projects and the doubling of fuelling costs.
