Oman is looking to muscle in on the Middle East bunkering trade in an attempt to rival the United Arab Emirates.
The largest Arab oil producer outside of Opec is setting up a new fuelling facility at the container and commodities port of Sohar.
Sohar Port and Freezone said it has signed a deal with Muscat-based Hormuz Marine to set up the service from the Middle of September.
