Through its Smit subsidiary, Royal Boskalis Westminster has been awarded the towage contract for the port of Zeebrugge.
The Papendrecht-based company will station six tugs and a fire-fighting vessel in the Belgian port.
The contract is for a period of seven years.
The port authority considered it necessary to deploy bigger, more powerful tugs as a result of larger vessels using the berths.
