The country’s finance ministry said the bidders are Goldbond Group, Gadot Chemical Tankers & Terminals, Mamam Cargo Terminals and Handling, Papo Maritime and Mifalei Tovala.
They will be asked in the coming months to submit offers for a stake in the port.
This will come after the government decides on provisions intended to protect the interests of the state and of the port’s workers for a period until 2016.
