Maersk’s APM Terminals has signed up to run a new $400m container port in Turkey.
It has won a contract for the new facility at Petkim near Aliaga, which is being built by Azerbaijan oil company Socar’s Turkish petrochemicals unit Petkim.
Preliminary plans call for the construction of a large deep-water container and general cargo facility with an initial capacity of 1.5m
