EU Naval Force flagship ITS SanGiusto apprehended the men from a single skiff 180 miles east of theIsland last night.
Rear Admiral Duncan Potts, operations commander at EU Navfor, said in astatement: “My message to the pirates is clear – we are watching you and weplan to capture you if you put to sea.”
Potts explains the incident is the first sighting of a suspected piratevessel off Somalia for three months.
