The 1,065-dwt Arowana United (built 1986) has been recovered off Indonesia with the crew unharmed.
But about 500 tonnes of fuel oil as well as ship supplies and crew property were removed and the vessel’s navigation equipment vandalised.
The Arowana United is part of a substantial fleet of small tankers of up to 5,500 dwt operated by Ban Hoe Leong Marine Supplies of Selangor, Malaysia.
