Turkish naval forces have intercepted a Somali mothership and detained 14 pirates.
Seven Yemeni seafarers were also rescued in the operation, 190 nautical miles off the Oman coast on Sunday, the Times of Oman reported.
The raid was launched following reports on 10 May that a chemical tanker had been attacked by a skiff launched from a suspected pirate mothership.
The Turkish warship TCG Giresun was sent to investigate.
