Another pirate attack has been thwarted by the use of a safe room - this time off Nigeria.
The IMB said armed raiders boarded an unnamed Greek tanker anchored off Lagos on Friday.
The 23 crew managed to lock themselves away and sent out a distress call received by the IMB's piracy reporting centre in Malaysia.
It alerted the Nigerian navy and other warships patrolling the area.
