Bergen Risk Solutions counts 38 serious incidents in Nigerian waters lastyear, down from 44 in 2011 and 60 in 2010.
Its 2012 tally includes 12 hijacking and kidnap and 21 armed assaults,according to a report issued today.
"Piracy and maritime crime incidents were most frequent off the NigerDelta in Q4 2012,” it said.
“In thatrespect, piracy and maritime crime has ‘returned home’.
