Crew including seven Bangladeshis have spent nearly two years in captivity after the 1,066-teu Albedo (built 1993) was seized in November, 2010.
The kidnappers have demanded $0.7m from the families of the seven within two weeks or they will start killing the men.
This is the not the first time such threats have been made, however, with a number of deadlines passing this year.
