Maritime crime in South East Asia has dropped 50% in the first quarter of 2016 compared to a year ago new figures show.
Only 13 incidents were reported between January and March compared to 35 for the same period in 2015, the lowest level recorded in the past decade, according to Dryad Maritime.
Similarly, it said the end of the quarter also represented the longest period without attacks on vessels within the Singapore Strait since early 2013.
