A Maersk group containership has been released shortly after it was hijacked off Nigeria.
Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said Saturday that all crew members on the 2,500-teu Samarine Kuramo (built 2005) were released and unharmed, according to various media reports.
The Singapore-flagged ship was travelling from Pointe Noire, Congo, to Port Onne, Nigeria, when it was hijacked on Friday.
