The union has urged the 5,400-dwt, 1979-built vessel's flag state Panama to provide assistance.
The 22 men were subjected to torture, starvation and mutilation before their release last month.
They were helped home by the UN's hostage support programme, with support from Interpol, the ITF, their home nations and the Maritime Piracy Humanitarian Response Programme (MPHRP).
The ITF said: "They are now in urgent need of psychological help to address the trauma they were deliberately subjected to, and assistance with rebuilding their lives.
