Og Amazu, of Amazoil Nigeria, said Glencore promised him $10m for his assistance in the case of the 315-dwt stand-by vessel Myre Seadiver (built 1965).
He says in a complaint filed in the UK high court that he arranged meetings with “high-ranking” Nigerian security officials at the behest of Glencore, Bloomberg reported.
Glencore said in a statement: “The allegations are baseless and we will vigorously defend the case against us.”
