Greek management company Golden Energy Management said on Thursday afternoon the 75,000–dwt ship (built 2008) was freed at 1400 GMT.
The 24 Russian crew are in good health and unharmed.
“The vessel is currently proceeding to a secure destination,” it added.
“The managing company wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to all relevant authorities that contributed to the smooth conclusion of this unpleasant incident.”
