Armed robbers have raided a Croatian tanker at the port of Kandla in India.
The company told domestic media that the 53,000-dwt Pomer (built 2011) was lying at anchor on Thursday night when six pirates boarded.
They stole firefighting equipment and hatch nuts, before an alarm was sounded and they escaped.
No injuries were reported and major damage was avoided during the 20-minute incident because the crew reacted quickly and effectively, Uljanik added.
