Teekay Corp chief executive Peter Evensen will step down in January and will be replaced by Kenneth Hvid, the tanker giant said.
Evensen's retirement ends a 13-year stint with the New York-listed company.
He will leave his role as Teekay Corp president, as well as chief executive and chief financial officer at Teekay LNG and Teekay Offshore. He will also exit the boards of Teekay group companies, but he will continue in an advisory role.
"It has been an honour and privilege to lead this company, and I am very confident that Kenneth Hvid is the right person to be my successor to lead Teekay into the next phase of its strategy," said Evensen.
