President Donald Trump took the reins of the US government Friday with a message that stuck the protectionist tone of his campaign that had led to concerns that his policies could hurt global trade.
Trump said in his inaugural address that decisions on trade, foreign affairs, taxes and immigration will be focused on benefiting American workers and families.
"From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land," said the 45th US president.
