The gender pay gap for UK maritime companies has improved, but the difference between female and male salaries is still two-and-a-half times the national average.
According to data compiled by HR specialist Spinnaker, the gap is much bigger than in all other sectors.
Chairman Phil Parry told TradeWinds: “It’s great to see the UK gender pay gap in maritime reducing year on year, but it’s a slow burn.”
